Academic ProgrammesBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Electrical engineering is a very wide field of engineering that deal with communication, control, electronic, radio etc…
Bachelor of Science program in electrical engineering based on practical application of knowledge, and at the same time recognize the importance of development of correct attitudes with theoretical and intellectual development of graduate engineer.
This curriculum is designed to provide graduates to face the challenges of modern engineering practice. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of the various electrical engineering subspecialty will be covered the course of study enabling the graduate to plan, design, analyze and testing any electrical projects.
Graduates can seek employment in a wide average of electrical engineering specialties. Thus include power system, control, and communication; employment opportunities will exist with private consulting firms, government department, petroleum companies, and communication companies.
Program Goals and outcomes:
The main goals of bachelor science in electrical engineering program are:
The graduates of this program should able to:
It consists of five calendar years and ten semesters. Each semester consists of 15 weeks. The total credit hours are in range of (198 for power and control; to 194 for Communication).
The Training session is to be conducted after the completion of the third year covering a period of 3 weeks.
The ratio of Practical to Theoretical:
Contact hours for the whole program are maintained approximately for practical to theory respectively 35% for practical and 65% for theory, which is within the requirement of the ministry of higher education and scientific research and Sudan engineering council (SEC).
